The 2014 National iAwards were presented by ABC’s James O’Loghlin on Friday 29 August in Melbourne, Victoria.
Prezentt was listed as a finalist in the Research and Development category.
Prezentt CEO, Justin Davies said that Prezentt was “excited and honoured” to represent Western Australia at the IT industry’s night of nights.
“For such a young company to be amongst the best in Australia is a huge achievement,” Justin said.
“It’s fantastic to see so much innovation happening around the nation and such a high standard of entries this year.”
The iAwards honour the achievements of local Australian innovators, particularly companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation and leading professionals across the ICT industry.
Chairman of the iAwards Steering Committee, Russell Yardley says that the iAwards help identify outstanding achievers in innovation, giving inspiration to others in the industry.
“The iAwards demonstrate the importance of innovation to Australia by bringing together and recognising the best young innovators and companies making a difference,” Mr Yardley said.
This has clearly been a great year for Australian research and development with winner of the R & D category being CSIRO for “Heatwave”, a handheld thermogenic device that can generate a 3-D model of an image or a scene with the aim of estimating the temperature distribution more accurately.
